PLC is an all-inclusive choir that welcomes anyone wanting to join. This includes people of various gender identities, sexual orientations, and musical abilities.
NOTE: SINGERS MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO MATCH PITCH.
What to Expect
Time Commitment
Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected and required. We meet every Wednesday from 6:45-9:00pm from September through June with the exception of a few major holidays. Our concerts are held in January and June each year and we are on a summer hiatus during July and August.
We memorize our music for each performance! For those who have less experience with learning music (as well as those who do!), practice tracks and sectionals are made available to the choir as a way for members to practice outside of rehearsals, as well as videos to help learn choralography .
Financial Commitment
PLC is committed to equity and believes that membership should not be reliant on the ability to pay. Dues are $150 per term. If $150 per term is not possible for you, you can pay what you can no questions asked.
Choir Size
PLC has a cap of 150 members at the start of each term. Due to current interest levels, it is possible that not all interested singers will have a place in the choir. Singer admittance is determined through voicing at New Member Orientation. Complete the form below to be informed of the next opportunity to attend a New Member Orientation.
